Who says persistence doesn’t pay off? Apparently it does for the newlywed, Sam Hunt.   Before the two of them were engaged, his soon to be fiance and wife was living and working in Hawaii.  Evidently, the singer flew to Hawaii, over 7 times to work his powers of persuasion and get her back in his life.

“I think last summer I went out [to Hawaii] about seven times in about three months. Trying to talk to her about coming back. And the seventh trip I convinced her.”

Looks like the hard work paid off, since the two eventually ended up getting married last April.
