Carly Pearce Finds Out About Her ACM Nomination On An Airplane

When Carly Pearce learned she’d just received her first ACM nomination for New Female Vocalist of the Year on Thursday morning (3/1), she was riding pretty high at 35,000 feet. Pearce was on board a Southwest flight when the ACM nominees were revealed, and she didn’t mind sharing her excitement with the whole cabin. After one of the flight attendants took over the intercom to inform passengers that Pearce had just received her first-ever ACM nod, she screaming with joy. Carly then declined a request to sing for everyone because she said “it was too early.”
