Last Saturday night two country music icons, Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson performed on stage together for the first time ever.   Stapleton was already scheduled to be playing on SNL that evening, but a few hours before the show, he tweeted that he would be joined by a special guest, who turned out to be Sturgill Simpson.

Together they played “Midnight Train To Memphis”, and “Hard Livin'”, both of which off of Stapleton’s album “From A Room: Volume 2”.
