Here’s the weather forecast for the Dallas, Fort Worth metroplex from the National Weather Service In Fort Worth:

“An arctic cold front will sweep through Central Texas this evening. Temperatures will fall rapidly behind this front on strong gusty northerly winds of 20 to 30 mph. A brief period of light freezing rain may occur before the precipitation changes over to sleet and snow during the evening along and north of a Goldthwaite to Hillsboro to Canton line and overnight farther south. The precipitation should change over to all light snow across the north after midnight and a mixture of sleet and snow is expected across the south. Temperatures will fall into the upper teens along the Red River to the mid 20s across the southeast before daybreak. The combination of these temperatures and the brisk winds will result in wind chill readings in the single digits and teens overnight.”
