Last week in Atlanta before the championship football game between the the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs, Darius Rucker was scheduled to perform a show.
There was only one problem, the weather. Not only was it raining, but it was freezing cold as well. However that did not stop Rucker, as he performed in Centennial Olympic Park as part of the pregame festivities then made the rounds with media and fans.
“It’s cold out here!” he yelled, before the opening lines of “Homegrown Honey,”
In addition to playing his country hits, after a fan yelled, “Play some old Hootie!”, the band broke out and played “Hootie & The Blowfish’s” “I Only Wanna Be With You”.
Following his performance, Rucker made his way into the stadium, where he served as celebrity expert for many media outlets.
