During a protest rally in downtown Dallas on Thursday night, 12 police officers and 2 civilians were shot by two snipers. According to FOX 4, The shooting occurred right before 9pm as it was coming to an end. Four Dallas Police Officers and one DART officer have died and 6 others are wounded. The shooting suspect shot himself after a standoff with the police on the second floor of the El Centro College parking garage. One suspect is dead and 3 are in custody.

The area around the incident downtown is closed and considered a crime scene.
