Brett Chasteen first met Hawkeye and Michelle at their annual Radiothon kick‑off at an IHOP in Fort Worth back in 2024. A few months later, he officially joined the New Country 96.3 Promotions Team and began learning how to run the board for our live broadcast events.
During this year’s Cook Children’s Radiothon, Brett was in the control room running the board as we broadcast live from the hospital — when a powerful full‑circle moment unfolded. He was reunited with the doctor who saved his life nearly two decades earlier. As a baby, Brett faced a life‑threatening medical emergency, and a dedicated physician played a crucial role in his survival. Now, 18 years later, New Country 96.3 brought them together for an emotional reunion. Brett shared his gratitude, the doctor reflected on seeing a former patient thriving, and the moment underscored the lasting impact of compassionate care and community connection.
