Various Political Sites are reporting this evening that George Strait will be named the new ambassador to Mexico. Strait has multiple business ties to Mexico and lives in South Texas.
Various Tweets about the announcement were captured by screen grabs before they were pulled. Specuation is that the announcement was scheduled for Friday, but postponed to coincide with this Sunday’s 52 Academy of Country Music Awards.
