Merle Haggard has passed away, today on his 79th birthday.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. The legend had been battling a series of recent health issues. He had cancelled tour dates last December 2015. He learned after checking into a hospital that he had double pneumonia. Merle Haggard had been in hospice care recently.
