I meant to write this earlier but I think i’m still trying to catch up on rest and sleep!
What an amazing weekend it was to be back out there for another music filled weekend with great friends. Friday night was a huge night where we got to enjoy live music from the Josh Abbott Band. The crowd packed up Lone Star Park pretty early. As you know, if you’ve ever been there. It’s only $5 to get in before 8pm and $20 after that. I got there around 7pm and was immediately shown this great place I had never been to. It was a private room where Josh and his fiddle player were to be playing for a small group of VIP winners that had won through the radio station. They were apart of an acoustic performance by Josh where he sang about 3-4- songs and thanked us, KSCS for being there.

We then headed outside where we got to register fans for the chance to meet the guys and it was fun leading up to the drawing. I got to hang and meet new faces and reunite with old faces there at Lone Star Park. It’s become a family tradition for many to spend their summer days enjoying a great live concerts at Lone Star Park and I can totally understand why, the atmosphere is like no other.

I had the privilege to introduce the Josh Abbott Band on stage, i’ve gotta say there is no better feeling than standing in front of almost 19k, screaming fans waiting on their favorite band. What a great experience, each and every time. I’m so very thankful and blessed with the opportunity that’s been given to me by Lone Star Park year after year.
Gary Allan the following night wasn’t any different

Gary took the stage after the final race on Saturday night at Lone Star Park and leading up to it, I kept pretty busying meeting up with some old KSCS listeners that I had not seen since last year when we all gathered for the Gary Allan show back then too. Gary does his meet & greet a little different. He actually has all the winners meet him on the opposite side of the track, on the back side where most of the horses are at, near the barns. It’s a little more special cause it’s far from the huge crowds. Then after he’s done with his meet & greet, he circles the track in his tour bus and he arrives right on time to take the stage. He was very kind to everyone, including myself. After we took our picture, he had his beautiful dog… Lucy come off the bus cause nature was calling. She’s one beauty of a dog.
Gary of course rocked the stage. He kicked things off the his hit, “Watching Airplanes“. Really couldn’t get on the side stage or anywhere really for a good angle to film him because it was pretty packed. Unlike the Josh Abbott Band, Gary left little room on stage with so much equipment he had.
Be sure to visit LoneStarPark.com for more shows cause the Lone Star Music Series continues next month with Chase Rice and Pat Green to close things off!

Again, I can’t get over what a great weekend it was, a busy one! Because also on Saturday, I stopped by and was apart of “The Best Little Brewfest in Texas“. They had so many distilleries, breweries, wineries, food trucks and so much more. I was on the clock of course and was unable to participate in the fun all that entailed lol. Ah well. Everyone was walking around with these cute little shot glasses that resembled a small mug. I wanted to get my hands on one of those so badly, but alas… I didnt. That was in Old Town Lewisville. A Beer Fesitival 100% going to charity. So if you ever get a chance to make it out there, you should. This year was the 3rd year they did it! There were all kinds of people there with costumes. I didn’t understand the consume concept but I was jealous I wasn’t able to go dress as Wonder Woman. I need a Wonder Woman costume.
