Country Music’s Biggest No. 1 Albums: The Records That Made Chart History

Syndicated Content — Tue, 20 Oct 2026 06:21:15 +0000

Some country albums reach No. 1 for a week. Others stay at the top for months, establishing records that become part of music history.

Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart has tracked the genre’s biggest releases since 1964, documenting decades of commercial success and changing listener preferences.

Among its most notable achievements is Shania Twain‘s Come On Over, which spent 50 weeks at No. 1. The album became one of country music’s defining commercial successes.

Taylor Swift also made a significant impact with Fearless, which enjoyed an extended run at the top during her early country career.

More recently, Morgan Wallen has emerged as a major chart presence with albums including Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing at a Time. Both releases demonstrated sustained popularity in an era increasingly shaped by streaming.

The chart now combines traditional album sales, individual track purchases, and streaming activity to determine weekly rankings.

Across generations, these achievements illustrate how country music’s biggest albums have connected with audiences, maintaining their popularity well beyond their initial release dates.

Chris Young Cowboys Post Game Show

Michelle Rodriguez — Mon, 19 Oct 2026 14:52:56 +0000

The 2026-27 Season Wk 5: Chris Young is Nashville’s Biggest Cowboys Fan and we begin our 5th year talking Dallas Cowboys with Chris!

Week 6: Chris recaps another Cowboys loss. This time it was 23 – 13 to the Green Bay Packers as the Cowboys record goes to 2-4 for the season. Chris Young is full of energy but is really upset about the Cowboys loss. “They sucked!” The only good thing is the division race is still open. But they were “cheeks… they were terrible.” But to take advantage of the division they have to get better… and Fast! The Cowboys have not lost Chris. He’ll always be a fan. But the reality of this team is slapping us in the face.

Week 5: This week, Chris recaps the Cowboys embarrassing 24 – 16 Thursday Night loss to the Buccaneers. The Cowboys record now goes to 2-3 for the season. As Hawkeye admits to Chris that he thought a Cowboys win was a certain thing and he’s learned his lesson. Chris wants to wait and see about CeeDee Lamb and if he’s possibly injured. Chris hates all the talk that this loss is somehow worse than normal because Tampa Bay was 0-4 before facing the Cowboys. But he admits he was watching and thinking, “What is happening?” It’s been a back and forth, up and down season. We’ll find out what kind of team the Cowboys are going forward. But he always looks forward to talking Cowboys with Hawkeye & Michelle.

Week 4: This week, Chris recaps the Cowboys exciting 34 – 30 win in Houston. It was highlighted by Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb connecting on 17 passes – including the game-winning TD! The Cowboys stood tall in the 2nd Half. Cowboys RB Javonte Williams had a career game-high 3 TDs against a top-ranked Texans defense. It was made better by an Eagles loss. So, the Cowboys are third in the NFC East behind Philly and the surprising Giants. We also talked to Chris about his shows at Billy Bob’s Texas this weekend and how Hawkeye ran into Chris‘ parents. And make sure you’re listening Friday morning because The ‘Boys have a short week and play this Thursday night hosting Tampa Bay.

Week 3: Chris Young is Nashville’s Biggest Cowboys Fan and we begin our 5th year talking Cowboys with Chris! This week, Chris recaps the Cowboys disappointing 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio. Chris was disappointed how the last Cowboy’s redzone possession was handled leading to the Ravens being able to get the game winning field goal.

Chris was happy with the way the Cowboys started fast and thought the defense played well especially early in the game against Derek Henry. But in the end it was a heartbreaker for Cowboy’s fans.

Week 2: Chris Young joined Hawkeye and Michelle to break down the Cowboys’ big 37-20 win over the Commanders. He believes the offense is finding its rhythm and the defense is improving, although there is still work to do. Hawkeye thought the Cowboys got a little lucky, but Chris disagreed, saying a 17-point win speaks for itself.

Chris also weighed in on the window tint at AT&T Stadium and the Cowboys’ long flight to Rio to face the Ravens. He is not too concerned about the travel, as long as the team arrives early enough to get acclimated.

Week 1: Chris gives us his thoughts and reactions to the Cowboys rough start to the season as they fall to the Giants 28 – 20.

Zach Bryan Opens Up About Sobriety and Rediscovering His Love for Music

Syndicated Content — Mon, 19 Oct 2026 06:57:32 +0000

Country singer Zach Bryan is sharing how giving up alcohol has changed his daily life and renewed his passion for making music.

During a recent conversation with actor Matthew McConaughey, Bryan, 30, discussed his decision to stop drinking and the experiences that led him to reconsider his relationship with alcohol.

Bryan recalled a turning point during a month-long motorcycle trip across the United States. While drinking beer outside a truck stop, he began questioning his habits and reflecting on what he wanted from his life.

The singer admitted that he previously dismissed the idea of sobriety because he had not fully recognized his own struggles with drinking.

Since making the change, Bryan says he feels happier, has more energy, and has found new excitement in songwriting. He compared his renewed enthusiasm for creating music to how he felt when he was 17.

His comments come alongside the release of his eight-song EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, which includes collaborations with Lana Del Rey and Turnpike Troubadours.

Lauren Alaina and Chase Matthew have reached the top of country radio with their duet All My Exes, marking another career milestone for both artists.

The song climbs four positions to No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated October 24, 2026. It generated 31 million audience impressions, a 28% increase from the previous week.

The achievement gives Alaina her fourth No. 1 on the chart and Matthew his second. Alaina previously reached the top with collaborations including One Beer in 2020, while Matthew led the ranking for three weeks with Darlin’ in November 2025.

Written by Alaina, Jimmy Gutch, Ben Johnson, and Whitney Phillips, All My Exes draws inspiration from a relationship Alaina experienced in her early 20s.

The duet also reflects the growing presence of collaborations on country radio. It becomes the third collaborative No. 1 of 2026, among 20 songs that have topped the chart this year.

For Alaina and Matthew, the achievement adds another significant entry to their country music careers.
